The Manna House is located in downtown Johnson City, Tennessee and within walking distance of East Tennessee State University and within just a few minutes the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Ballad Health’s Johnson City Medical Center and many shopping, restaurants and professional services providers easily accessible via the Johnson City Transit bus line.
Our community joins together for regular house meetings and to provide accountability and support to one another as we seek connections to employment opportunities, finding the right AA meeting, building our recovery networks, maintaining our sobriety and enjoying our lives. The Manna House was founded on principles of accountability, recovery and cooperation, recognizing that we are all fellow travelers on the journey to healing and wholeness.
Since the very first resident moved into Manna House in 1998, we’ve been in a partnership with our extended community beyond 116 West Walnut. The campus has undergone extensive renovations led by dozens of organizations ranging from veterans groups, motorcycle clubs and civic organizations to churches, colleges and campus and youth groups from the Tri-Cities and beyond. Many of those same groups and individuals continue to support Manna, sponsor special events and welcome our residents into their organizations as well.
Over the past two decades MH has developed an extensive comprehensive network of employers, healthcare professionals, legal services, community service and, veteran advocacy organizations that are able to assist Manna House residents with any number of needs as we work together to help reclaim our lives one day at time.
